  • Add as many sidebars in your page template
  • Page builder uses blocks to build any layout. These block are just like widgets and support multifunctionality

Besides supporting default responsiveness momento uses Device theme switcher wordpress plugin by jamesmehorter to switch theme on mobile devices, tablets and even low compatibity devices.

SEO features

SEO has been carefully studied and implemented for this theme. We have read many articles from various experts and added the following features to this theme:-

  • In site’s code hierarchy, the post content is placed before the sidebar regardless of the sidebar position, so it is crawled first by search engines.
  • Another very powerful SEO feature has been implemented regarding Heading (h1, h2, h3,…) tags in which on Front page the ‘h1’ tag is assigned to the site name only and on rest pages/posts/archives etc., the page title has been assigned an ‘h1’ tag and site title ‘h3’ tag. This makes heading on post and pages more important than site title for search engines to grab first
  • HTML code has been validated according to W3C norms
  • Theme also supports Post author verifications (Post Author’s image that appears alongside search query in google)
  • Breadcrumbs, tags and post navigation has been provided on post pages

Oembeds wordpress built-in shortcodes

Oembeds are wordpress built-in shortcodes which are accepted globally in all the themes. These shortcodes doesn’t fail on theme migration. You can check all the oembed supported services onWordPress’s codex.

Our theme doesn’t have any additional shortcodes that come along besides oembeds. As we believe that providing shortcodes alongside theme is not a fair deal as they might break on theme migration. We believe in shortcode plugins for example Zilla Shortcodes and the plugin’s shortcode examples can be seen on my previous theme Zend.
